2 days ago i upgraded my windows 10 to build 1903 , since then ,

randomly and during any activity (gaming , watching a video ..etc) ,

screen with the word "locking" in the middle appears for half a second and my laptop goes into sleep mode

and then i have to turn it on again

this never happened before the update , i tried to reset and fresh start but, nothing worked , and now i can't get back to previous build

what do i do ?

HELP , PLEASE

SOLUTION

Hey guys

So, I solved the issue (for me, at least) a long time ago but forgot to report back. My apologies

Basically,

Settings -> power and sleep -> additional power settings -> change advanced power settings -> battery

Then, change critical battery action and low battery action to do nothing both on battery and plugged in

I don't know if others already solved the problem In a different way, but i Hope that helps

Have a good day

    I have same issue

While working on window 10 suddenly got Blue screen with locking message in center of window and goes down.

Need to wake up again by press power button on laptop

When you press power button os goes through normal boot process but surprisingly It start from where os is left while locking like as snapshot

Trying to figure out since long time but not overcome at all.

Still happening every half an hour or hours

Sometimes works for 3- 4 hours but definitely os is locking while working.

I have the same issue with my laptop "locking" and shutting down by itself after 5-10 minutes. Coincidentally, I also updated Windows last week to build 1903. I do not know if this is all related either.

Only one time when I restarted the laptop just now, I saw the OS give an error telling me that my battery is bad. So, my issue may really be due to a bad battery.

After finding this thread and seeing these posts about the battery, I removed my bad battery and that seems to have solved the "locking" and auto-shutting down problem.

Now, I need to find a replacement battery for my laptop. I saw someone else post that this "locking" issue happened to someone else after they replaced the battery. So, we'll see what happens when I replace mine.  I'll come back here and post an update after I buy a replacement and try it out.

windows scan says " didn't find any integrity violations"

is there a way to just download a previous build and get rid of this new one (1903) ??

i strongly believe that it's something in this build that's causing the problem because i've never seen this issue before

and it started to happen just after the update
