WPF applications in Visual Studio 2019: accessibility of properties window

John Brel 141 Reputation points

I'm pretty new to Visual Studio, but I've worked with Object Pascal and later the Delphi IDE in the past. I'm following a course in C#. One thing I wonder about is how one can easily navigate the properties window for components? I am accustomed to hardly use the mouse while working in Windows and in Delphi (esp. within the comparable Object Inspector) I could find my way quite easily by using shortcuts and accelerator keys.
I know I can access the properties window by pressing F4, but is it possible to get to specific properties quickly without mousing, other than using the TAB and arrow keys quite extensively? I see that the most common properties are easily accessible in the Alphabetical ordering (name and text in Databinding). But is there a easier way to fill in all the other properties by using key combinations I can't seem to find?

(I'm sorry if this question has been asked many times already - I can't seem to find the question, perhaps also because refining a search question here with the vs-general tag gives an error: "An Internal error has occurred and we are sorry for the inconvenience. We are doing our best to fix the problem as soon as possible.")

    Hi JohnBrel,

After my research, we cannot create a shotcut for a specified properties in properties window. We suggest you can submit this request to developer community: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/report?space=8&entry=suggestion

    Best Regards, Dylan
