Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 KB4517211 (Causing HP Printer Spooler to Stop)

Question

The Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 KB4517211 is causing the printer spooler service to stop and the installed printer is no longer recognized.  It is an HP Officejet Pro 8210 printer.  When I go into services.msc I can start the spooler and my printer then reappears but as soon as I try to print the spooler service stops.  If I uninstall update KB4517211, my printer again works.

Secondary Concern: I have temporarily halted windows updates to avoid KB4517211 from again downloading.  How to I stop this update from installing permanently since I will have to resume updates at some juncture.

Same problem here. We can no longer print any documents. It looks like Microsoft is not interested in solving this issue - maybe we have to switch to OSX in the future, as this prevents us from sending out invoices which jeopardize our company.

Several people in the office lost all their printers after the update include Adobe, Kyocera, HP, Brother & Ricoh!  We've uninstalled the update, but upon reboot, it reinstalls itself.

Carlos, it's the same here.

Maybe only few of us Had a similar problem.

(for a comnination of hardware and printer - not for software, because I tried with a resettet pc)

But Microsoft should apologize with us, and give us some free office 365 month or some OneDrive space!

After install KB4517389 I am able to print in HP Officejet pro 8725. All of us wait more ten days!!

P.S. - if I have a mistake similar these in my work, day after I am out! (engineer structure)
