  1. Environment:

Two DHCP servers, the system is windows 2016, have turned off the firewall, the failure transfer has been configured, and the mode is hot standby server mode.

  1. Fault description:

Today, the replication of the fail over scope on the primary DHCP server indicates that the target computer is not running the DHCP server service, and the standby DHCP server is still configured for fail over, and the service is also running, that is, the standby DHCP service is not recognized.

When viewing the relationship of the failover, it is found that the status of the partner server is not available, and the rest is normal.

Thank you for your analysis!

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Q&A platform.

May I know if the primary DHCP server and standby DHCP server can ping each other successfully?

Please help to confirm the state of the server is the partner server is not available or lost contact with partner?

You could check the DHCP server event log in Event viewer of both primary server and standby server to see if there is any event related the issue. And please provide screenshots for further troubleshooting.
