my excel won't let me open anything and says to delete to add space. I did but still can't open anything. How do i add cloud storage?
Could you please provide the details of the error message or a screenshot of it?
Firstly, I would suggest you log in to OneDrive.com, check the current free space.
1. If OneDrive does not have enough space, which version of Office are you using now?
For Microsoft 365 subscription, you may add additional storage.
Besides, here is an article "Manage your OneDrive storage and limits", I think it would help you.
2. If OneDrive has enough available space, please check whether you could open other Office files on OneDrive.
It's recommended to download some Excel files to local computer to have a check.
In addition, I have some questions as below.
- which version of Excel are you using to open them? Such as Excel online, Excel desktop client.
- How do you open thses Excel files?
For example, you open Excel files from OneDrive online via Excel online, or you go to "Open" in Excel app, then go to OneDrive services to open spreadsheets, or you go to OneDrive folder under user profile folder to open files you need.
Please also make sure, C drive has enough space. To save disk space, please refer to "Save disk space with OneDrive Files On-Demand for Windows 10" and "Choose which OneDrive folders to sync to your computer".
