I'm getting somewhat confused, and need some help. I go into Windows Explorer, set view preferences on it, and when I come back tomorrow, they've reverted to some other setting. What I'd like to do is be able to set preferences for ALL folders -- not just
"of this type" -- and then be able to go in and select specific folders in a tree and change their type to a different set of preferences.
But I cannot even find what these folder types are, in a list somewhere; or, when looking at a particular folder, see what type windows thinks it is.
With over half a million folders worth of stuff to worry about, I want to have roots of trees be on a project basis; then if a project has folders within it for various types of files related to parts of that project, then a standard view for THAT folder
type within that project folder tree makes sense.
Just when I thought it was safe to look out my windows... help?
