Hi, I just got a blue screen when my desktop pc is idling (I am having lunch).

    My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

    Click Start

    Type: regedit

    Right click regedit

    Click Run as administrator

    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\amdppm

    Change Start to have a value of 4.

    Exit then restart to see if the system is more stable.

    Hi, Andre. After that, my CPU locked to 2.99 GHz. Is that normal? What did that change in regedit do?

    Also, in advanced options of any power plan, there is no minimum and maximum processor state option anymore.

    It changes the power state of your CPU.

    I just would like to know, are you still experiencing crashes?
