BUG in feature update to windows 10 version 1909 via enablement package (KB4517245)

Hello, I’ve tested in two different machines and confirmed that after the “feature update to windows 10 version 1909 via enablement package (KB4517245)” it’s no longer possible to copy-paste to the search box present in folders (upper right corner) using the mouse, the right click is completely disabled.

For now I’ve removed the (KB4517245)…

I have the KB4524570 CU Windows 10 v1903 build 18362.476 the problem only happens after the installation of the (KB4517245). With the build 18362.476 everything works perfect.

This has to be a windows bug.

Please help.

I was having the same problem when I was using the update (KB4517245), when I clicked in the search box, I had to wait for a abnormally large amount of time before the search box unfreeze and the cursor appeared, the right click never worked for me, not even a single time when I was using the 1909 build 18363.476… However, after uninstalling that update (if you can call it that) and start using again the 1903 build 18362.476 everything is fine again.

Also, with this new update the user needs to press enter or click in the arrow to start the search, this is a new futile and extra work for no reason, before this update the search was automatic, and started as soon as the user stopped writing.

I want to update windows to the latest version but foremost I need a working and functional Windows.

Actually sometimes search box is getting totally stuck. In windows explorer (folders of window explorer process), it's not clickable at all, neither right click nor left click works, until you force restart windows explorer. That fixes it for a while, until it gets stuck again...

Exact same issue here and windows build. Windows file explorer is a mess. Even here in this window, I can't cut/paste/move a single thing

    Steven

PS: This has happened before in another build and the Microsoft people had no clue or way to fix. There ONLY option was to wipe-out the current OS and start over....<Removed inappropriate insulting remarks.>

    Judah,

thanks for the no good answer. Why are you on here if you are not helping people?  BTW, I am an IT Director, so I know what I am doing. Panasonic is having trouble with this same issue, but the Dell laptops updated just fine, and with that in mind not all vendors Dell, HP, Panasonic, Toshiba and so on are not all the same.

We, like Millions did not update from 7 until forced to do so for several reasons. When you work for a large company with 1,000's of computers you understand more about updates, third party vendors and why you DO NOT run out and update every time there is one. Not all companies were ready for windows 10, like Cisco, SEL, SYME, SEDC and many more.

I have updated a very large number of desktops and laptops and I did not had a problem that I could not fix until the Panasonic Tough-books that were over $5,000 each with many more thousands of dollars worth of software loaded on them, so forgive me if I along with the entire IT Dept are slow and cautious about changes.

Have a nice day. no response is necessary.
