Hi,
I have an issue with remote desktop access and remoteApp clipboard.

My use case is :

  • The user copy some text from Microsoft Word to the clipboard.
  • The text is passed in a browser in a "contenteditable" field in a remoteApp.

The issue is that if I do it in a local browser everything is OK. The HTML version of the word document is passed inside the browser and the text formating is kept.
But, if I do the same when the browser is inside a remoteApp/remote Desktop the formatting is mostly lost.

With the help of the "InsideClipboard" tool I can see that on my local computer I have an HTML version of the Word document available in the clipboard, on the remote desktop this version is not synchronized and is missing. It is very strange because all the versions of the document (text, native, rich text format, ...) seems to be available EXCEPT the HTML one.

For information my local computer in Windows 10 with latest updates, and the remote is a Windows Server 2016.

Can you please help me to resolve this issue/bug that is very annoying for the users since this application have been moved to RemoteApp.

Thanks.

    Hi,
Thank you for posting your query. According to your discription, here are some hints you can try to fix it.

You should make sure you allow the redirection on the RDGateway Connection Authorization Policy directly.
Edit Group Policy\ Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Windows Components \ Remote Desktop Services \ Remote Desktop Session Hosts \ Device and Resource Redirection \ Do not allow clipboard redirection

Here are some related links you can refer to.
