Using Power BI desktop for RS oct 2020 - works on desktop, but I get the following error when saved to PBIRS - An unexpected error occurred An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later. Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details. We couldn't connect to the Analysis Services server. Make sure you've entered the connection string correctly.: Request ID: 5f86dcc4-f181-25e6-af15-2de59379bbf0 Time: Wed Mar 24 2021 19:28:33 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time) Service version: /powerbi/libs - Other reports from system center dudes work fine - Any Ideas? - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/servers/manage/powerbi-sample-reports

Hi,

What does "ConfigMgrSamplePowerBIReports" mean here ?

Have you implement correct datasorce server account and password of the report in PBIRS?

What info did you get from Report Server Trace log ?

Where did you upload the PBIX file? How long after uploading the file did you wait before trying to run it (aka more than 10 minutes after uploading it)? Is it working now?

It could be a browser issue on a machine with UAC activated. If you're using Edge, run the brower 'as administrator'. It should also work with Firefox. For more details, see: We couldn't connect to the Analysis Services server
