We had Azure site recovery set up and working for over a year, Hyper V to Azure, and we just discovered it has not been replicating for a few months. I tried to get it restarted but Resuming immediately failed. Updated several WAC components and MARS and still could not get it to start replicating. So I decided to stop the replication and try to start over. Now I cannot get Protect the VM. I am connected to our azure account. It sees my plans and resource groups. In Azure I see the site and it has a healthy heartbeat with the smefabric. There errors I am getting are very generic I have them listed below

WAC Error:
Couldn't protect VM. VM protection failed. Error: Azure Site Recovery operation failed. Error: An internal error occurred.

Azure Recovery Vault errors
Error ID 60006
Error Message Protection couldn't be configured for the virtual machine. See job details for more information. Possible causes The VMM/Microsoft Azure Site Recovery service couldn't find a Hyper-V host, or is having an intermittent issue.
Recommendation Check the failure details for the job and retry the operation.

At the VM level in Azure for replication

Recommendation Resolve the issue and retry the operation.

Error ID 499
Error Message An internal error occurred. Recommendation Retry the last action. If the issue persists, contact Support.

I am not sure where I can go from here. I have been through a ton of articles and forums but nothing matches up or resolves what I am running into. Any guidance and help would be appreciated.

Hello @Scott R. Baxley , sorry for the service disruption. You mentioned "Updating several WAC components and MARS" does that mean you updated the components to ASR rollup 54 released last month? If upgrade doesnt fix this then the next step is to engage the Azure Support channel for deeper investigation. Create a service request if you already have a paid support plan associated to your Azure Subscription. If you do not have a support plan, please send mail to include your subscription ID and a link to this thread and my team will be happy to assist you further (add Attn:Femi to subject line).

    Hope this helps.
    Cheers.
