Why could NVIDIA driver crashes stop without my actions?

Usually they write here to find a solution to the problem. This post is a completely different case. The long-term problem was solved by itself, without my participation. And I would like to determine how this happened. The network contains hundreds, perhaps thousands of messages about these failures, there are complaints and suggestions for solving the problem. But I have not found any reports stating that NVIDIA driver crashes have suddenly stopped. It seems to me that my message is the first! In trying to solve this problem, I have used many guidelines to no avail. The last thing I tried was to reinstall the driver using the DDU utility (DDU - v.18.0.3.6, driver - 342.01). But that didn't help either. NVIDIA driver crashes continued regularly 1 - 2 times a day. The last NVIDIA driver crash was on 26-Mar-21 at 5:58 AM. I assumed that the crash stop was the result of some kind of update coming from Microsoft. A check (using the Reliability Monitor) showed that only Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus, Version 1.333.1292.0 can be such an update. It was installed the same day the last crash occurred, 26-Mar-21, but later at 12:39 PM. At https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/definitions/antimalware-definition-release-notes?requestVersion=1.333.1292.0 you can see a list of the (very extensive) threats covered by this update. version. However, most of them are reported to be a means of infiltrating malware onto a computer. Could any of these threats cause NVIDIA driver crashes?

Starting in Windows 10, version 2004, Windows Update distributes only Automatic drivers for a system's devices. When Manual drivers are available for devices on the computer, the Windows Update page in the Settings app displays View optional updates .
About Automatic drivers, which must first have been evaluated by Microsoft through Driver Flighting.
About Manual drivers, click Search for updated drivers on Windows Update and then select View optional updates->Driver updates to download them.

Therefore, Windows update will not automatic install non-evaluated Nvidia driver on your device, the drivers which evaluated by Microsoft through Driver Flighting usually doesn’t cause crash.
I suggest to completely uninstall Nvidia adapter from Device Manager, then restart computer, don’t install drivers from third-party software, monitor for some time, if still has crash issue, ask for help from manufacturer support, maybe there is a hardware problem.

    Dear TeemoTang-MSFT and cheong00,
Thank you, I received interesting and useful information. I will definitely use it if NVIDIA driver crashes resume. But this is not the answer to my question. I asked: for what reason could suddenly, without my special actions, stop the daily NVIDIA driver failures occur. I assumed that this could be a consequence of the Windows Defender Antivirus data update.
