does anyone know what api-ms-win-downlevel-kernel-32-l2-1-0.dll is ?

 I play a game called fortnite by epic games and twice after game updates i get an error that i am missing a certain dll file -- api-ms-win-downlevel-kernel-32-l2-1-0.dll .  I have to delete and reinstall the entire game to get it to run again .  I asked the game company about the error and they said to ask microsoft support.  Microsoft support was useless.  From what I have read the file is basically microsoft spyware used to track what your computer is doing and sending the results somewhere.

    The Tag winapi-general is not accurate...

    Otherwise, you can see this thread prgram cant start cause api-ms-win-downlevel-kernal32 blah blah dll is missing
