Hi Looking for advice please
So app was working without issue and updated to 16.9.1 and then a list view in my app had an issue where the list just continues to update
till it crashes the app. I tried it on another laptop that still had 16.9.0 on it and the issue went away but as luck would have it i had to format
this computer to send it away for a new screen. i have since got the laptop back and has visual studio 16.9.3 installed on two windows and
one mac and the issue has now got worse effecting all list views within the app
This issue only happens in debug mode and not release, i have tried to fix on a clean computer and have removed the bin and obj files from the project
and updated nuggets and tried deleting code to identify the issue
Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or had any thoughts for fixing
I would provide code but currently it doesn't matter what i delete it doesn't fix the issue or point to where my issue is, i assume i can not roll back to 16.9.0?
I have had the issue for a month now so i know its not going away easily
Im at the point where im thinking of releasing my app to the world but not sure if i should with this issue just in case it affects some other device in release mode

This issue is resolved if I remove the CachingStrategy from the ListView declaration. Is it a bug with XF 5.0? Shall I file a bug report for this?

I find this as a solution for the issue that was occurring after updating Xamarin.Forms to 5.x. My VS version 16.9.3. After updating to XF 5.x I noticed that GC is being called repeatedly for ever. Of course I didn't wait till any crash to occur.
Also as suggested in the above GitHub post, I don't think DataTemplateSelector is the cause as I am not using it in my project.
I think it is a ListView bug with CachingStrategy in XF 5.x.
And this is occurring only in Android (both emulator & device) but not in iOS.
My project has got a Tabbed Page and I am using ListView in 4 of them. I have removed CachingStrategy setting in them except from the ListView in the 1st tab to solve my issue.
So this may be further investigated if possible and raise a bug report.
