SharePoint 2013 permission to a single user

Hi guys,

I have a user to whom I would like to give him permission to only one department site, and he should not be able to access other departments site. For this, I created a group in that department and add him but he is still able to access all other departments.

I want to exclude him and group to access any other libraries and sites and limit him to only one deparment.

Any suggestion. Thanks in advance.
