windows 10 time zone automatic reset issue to Pacific Time zone

My windows 10 always resets my time zone to the Pacific while I am here in the central time zone.

I have manually changed the time zone using several different ways using "tzutil /s "Central Standard Time". This only works when I left the "set time zone automatically" option to Off position.

However, whenever I switched to "set time zone automatically" option on and reboot the computer, it always goes back to the Pacific time zone again.

It looks like somewhere in my computer or account, my location is set somewhere in Seattle (I can see that in Windows Maps application)

Any suggestion?

I shall suggest you to go through the following article:

Location shown in Cortana and Maps may not be accurate

    As per Windows.Devices.Geolocation Namespace

The accuracy of the location information depends on the source. The latitude and longitude may vary within the following ranges:

GPS : within approximately 10 meters
    Wi-Fi : between approximately 30 meters and 500 meters
Cell towers : between approximately 300 meters and 3,000 meters
IP address : between approximately 1,000 meters and 5,000 meters
In addition to latitude and longitude, GPS also provides information about heading, speed, and altitude. This additional information is optional when the location information comes from other sources.

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in our Q&A platform.

Please try the following method to see if the time zone can be modified successfully.

Open PowerShell with administrator privilege and run the following command:

    Set-Timezone -Name "Central Standard Time"

And then please run Get-Timezone to see if the time zone was configured correctly.

Please restart your machine to see if the issue still existed.
