Hello Gents,
I have task to create dependency monitor for network device.
We have a switch with 100 ports. Only 5 ports have enable monitoring. One of them went offline, but health of switch didn't change.
I've tried to create dependecy monitor. I choosed Network Device as monitor target and parent monitor.
Monitor Dependency was Device Network Adaptar and availability.
When I go to health properties for that switch, I can see my monitor there, but it has white circle only meaning it's not enabled I guess. (I checked settings, and monitor is enabled in properties.

@GA Václav Jandek Could you clarify if this question is related to Azure data science VM or a regular VM on which you want to change network settings? I think this might be related to Azure virtual machines in general rather than a data science virtual machine which we use to run any ML experiments or process with pre-installed packages. Thanks!!

Could you show us exactly the xml code of your roll-up monitor?
