AADSTS50020 Cannot connect to Team account

My Team Linux app (P.C) does not seam to be well registered :
It yet works on Windows side for my 2 accounts.

Here is the launch script

!/bin/sh

SCRIPT=$(readlink -f "$0")
USR_DIRECTORY=$(readlink -f $(dirname $SCRIPT)/..)

TEAMS_PATH="$USR_DIRECTORY/share/teams/teams"
TEAMS_LOGS="$HOME/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft Teams/logs"

mkdir -p "$TEAMS_LOGS"

nohup "$TEAMS_PATH" "$@" --disable-namespace-sandbox --disable-setuid-sandbox > "$TEAMS_LOGS/teams-startup.log" 2>&1 &

I could register and log in with the windows version without any problèms because i get a computer with a dual boot Linux/Windows.

AADSTS50020: User account from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist in tenant 'Aucune' and cannot access the application '5e3ce6c0-2b1f-4285-8d4b-75ee78787346'(Microsoft Teams Web Client) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account.

Comming from the web client.

I tried with Google Chrome client and iceweasel (Firefox) debian : same problem.

I tried to register on azure microsoft site but faced javascript errors even with a the new Edge browser into windows 10 Operating System.

Any help would be appreciate.
Thank's in advance.

@JeanNIDA-5771,

According to your error message, this issue seems related to Azure AD login error. When user is trying to sign up with a live.com ID which is not a Windows Azure native org account, it will cause this issue. For more details about this error, you can refer to:

http://www.agilepointnxblog.com/windows-azure-active-directory-login-error-aadsts50020/

In this case, we firstly recommend you clear your client cache by the following command:

1.Cache folder on Linux
~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft\ Teams\ -\ Insiders

2.To remove cache folder
rm -r ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft\ Teams\ -\ Insiders

If the above suggestion is not working for you. I have some questions to confirm with you:

1)Does this issue only occurred when you running the script?

2)Does anyone else have the same issue in your organization?

Hi JimmyYang and thank's very much for your help!

I'm a programmer but As you see i'm more in the Linux World.

According to what you told me; i really struggle to understand ever what is a live.com account vs an Azure one.

But I'll read the post you let me just for curiosity.

I went on Azure and could see all my accounts but it did not help.

No sure it was really needed but I first uninstalled Linux Teams package with --purge option which suppresses configuration (but .local/Microsoft config dir).

I then suppressed the Microsoft local folder like you recomanded describe and everything is fine now.

Strange that I should have think at it first : i sometimes do this kind of deletion when i'm really stucked.

You did not save my live but you saved my day for sure.

Kind Regards.
jean-yves.
