Word Client App cannot open files from SharePoint OnPrem

Hi,

Is it possible to open and edit files in SharePoint 2013 OnPremise using Word Client App? Whenever i try to login from Word to SharePoint i have error 403. I can edit that file in office web apps without any problems using same account. This error occures only when I'm outside company network where we are using Azure AD Application Proxy SSO to login into SharePoint 2013 OnPrem. Error below. Unfortunately i don't have any machine with English version of Office installed but I'll try to translate it under screen

It basically says that:

"The website declined to show this webpage.

Most likely causes:

this website requires you to log in.
What you can try:

go back to the previous page.

More information

This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that program was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage."

Its weird because i have admin access to that whole server.

Any suggestions are welcome

Whether you directly open the file in the SharePoint document library or open the document in the SharePoint document library from the word client application?

Whether this issue occurs on all files?

If you use company network, whether this issue occurs?

Error occurs when:

I'm trying to open file from sharepoint in word using "Edit in Word" -> tries to open word -> error as above

I'm trying to open any document library on that sharepoint server from Word side. Word -> file -> open -> browse -> paste link to SharePoint document library -> error as above. I don't even get to the point where i could open file in this way

Issue occurs on all files.

When using company network this issue does not occur, but inside company network we are using windows credentials not azure AD credentials
