Hello all,

I have been trying to configure one of my organisations Surface Pro's as a Teams Room device, following this documentation

I understand you need to create a USB boot device, so I found a 32gb memory stick and ran the Powershell script as described in the documentation.

However, I run into an error which says "Your Windows Installation media is version 10.0.18362.778. Your SRSv2 kit requires version 10.0.18362.418.

I was trying to use the most recent Windows 10 Enterprise ISO from Microsoft Volume Licensing (20H2), which I understand is newer.

So, I logged into Microsoft volume licensing and there are about 17 different ISOs for Windows 10 Enterprise - but I don't understand which one I need.

In the documentation it just says you need "A specific version of Windows 10 is required, and this version is only available to volume licensing customers. You can get a copy from the Volume Licensing Service Cente", but it doesn't' specify the name and the versions are not listed on MVL.

I have tried several older Windows 10 ISO's but I get the same error on all of them, so I am unable to create the Teams Room boot device.

Can anyone advise me where I'm going wrong please?

It needs to install the KB4517389 to reach to version 10.0.18362.418. The download link is:

Just to clarify, do I need to install this version of Windows and then run the CreateSRSMedia script?

If so, what is the point of creating the Boot device using the CreateSrsMedia script?

I am very confused, in the guide it says I need to download a specific ISO from Microsoft Volume Licensing, but there are 17 different versions.

Due to lacking the Teams Room system environment, we cannot do the same test in our environment. But
we recommend you follow the official document to install Win 10 and run the CreateSRSMedia script.

In addition, could you check these version's description to find if they are some information related to Teams Room console?

Hi Jimmy, thank you for following this up.

It's obvious that Microsoft want people to buy the pre-configured Teams Rooms devices and not install Teams Rooms onto their own devices.

The documentation clearly states "A specific version of Windows 10 is required, and this version is only available to volume licensing customers. You can get a copy from the Volume Licensing Service Center." which is fine, but it fails to specify which version of Windows 10 is required. I am not downloading 17 different versions of Windows 10 and trying them all until one works, this is not an acceptable solution.

Unfortunately this makes it unviable solution for our organisation.

Does the Olivier's suggestion work for you?

Indeed, the document is not listing the detailed version of ISO for column licensing customers. We will check if there is any information about it and will inform you in time.

No sorry, I get the same problem with 19.09.

Version 200H2 2020-10-20 is Under validation, and Not supported yet

Did you find a solution for this problem? I'm in the same situation and can't create the installation media even with a Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC ISO from the VLSC.
