Hi,
because I would manage directly from my Windows PC, and now connect to WSUS server using RDP.
This type od database is WID.
I'm connecting to full server name (with dns suffix) wsus.ad.comp.com
How to remotely manage standalone wsus server
Hi,
I have standalone WSUS server configured with SSL, all clients connecting with SSL without problems, when on any client computer I open in browser wsus page:
https://wsus.ad.company.com:8531/ClientWebService/client.asmx then I have connection with valid created self-signed certificate.
Now I would like to manage this standalone server using Windows 10 with RSAT, but when I try to connect I get an error:
If this is standalone server, maybe I should configure on it any WinRM settings?

Thanks for your response.
There's a domain group called WSUS Administrators on the WSUS server. Members of this group can administer the Windows Server Update Services role.
Reference picture in my environment:
So users who logged in the windows 10 computer must be the number of the group named WSUS Administrators to manage the WSUS role.
Hope the above will be helpful. Have a nice day.
Regards,
Rita

2023-11-25T01:50:05.78+00:00 Are you using a DNS Alias?

I don't know if you can do what you're not part of any domain.
