Hello

I have a requirement to Endpoint Protection Manager 2019. Is my understanding correct that Endpoint Configuration Manager 2019 needs to be installed first? Then after I would enable Endpoint Protection Manager?

Thanks

    There are no such products.

    Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) has an Endpoint Protection feature set for managing Microsoft Defender on Windows systems. See https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/protect/deploy-use/endpoint-protection-configure for details. You can also use Microsoft Intune to manage Microsoft Defender.

    The latest version of ConfigMgr is 2103 (there was never a 2019 version and there never will be).

    @Jason Sandys

    Thank you.

    So which Endpoint configuration manager is included in SCCM 2019 as shown here:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-system-center-2019

    Is the endpoint configuration manager included with SCCM 2019 the 2013 version?

    This is what the confusing part

    Don't know although it's definitely not 2103 as that was just release; I would never recommend downloading the entire suite if all you want is ConfigMgr. Use this instead: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-microsoft-endpoint-configuration-manager.

    Also, although SCCM was commonly used it was never truly correct and now that ConfigMgr is no longer part of the System Center suite, it's definitely not correct.

    Hi, @berketjune2012
    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
    Agree with Jason, if we want to download SCCM now, we need to download it from the link Jason provided instead of download the System Center suite.

    And some customers tried install SCCM from the System Center suite and failed with download 404 at "Prerequisite Downloads" section, for your reference:
