This is how I fixed my issue - Very quickly!

I was trying to install C++ 2019 v14.26xx and getting the .msi error. So going backwards I went to Add/Remove programs and looked for the last version of C++ installed which was C++ 2017 V11.xx (x86 & x64). I removed both which gave the error that they were already uninstalled and asked to remove them from the list. Which I did.

Then went to \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products and found the keys for C++ 2017 I just removed. (there were 4 total 2 x86 & 2 x64). I deleted all 4 keys then ran the C++ 2019 package I originally had the issue with. It installed with no issues.

    Hope this helps

if you sort based on the Date created, and listed also the author and search there, but it is a long process, you have to check all microsoft files until you find the suitable one.

try this other workaround, simply find and download the full installer of the 2015 from this link:

then go to control panel/ program and features, search for the 2015 and try to repair the installation or uninstall it and install it again.

    Hey F.Farah.

I just tried your solution proposed by this thread, and it didn't work. I got stuck in a constant loop this other guy got stuck in, with the pop ups, and was wondering if you could contact me directly at my email @******@gmail.com , as you are clearly more experienced and would love if you could make some time to help me out. If you need any information about the problem im getting, It started 9/2/20 roughly 9:00 PM EST, where i logged onto a game, "Valorant", and an update hit me with the popups seen below. The error in the top left corner of the picture is what i saw first, but then i tried to download/redownload the program, and i saw top left, then top right, then bottom, while trying to download. I have all previous Visual C++ installed, (2008-2013), but whenever trying to install the 2015-2019 this would hit me. If you can get back to me Id appreciate it.

    Thanks so much
