Question

Windows Update error 80070422. Have tried suggested fixes offered online. None have worked. Any ideas?

If you receive Windows Update error 80070422 while downloading updates, you might need to change the Windows Update service settings, and then restart the service.

This is what worked for me. On my computer, the "Windows module installer" service was disabled. 

After starting this Windows module installer service, Windows Update started to work properly.
