Drive Mapping

Hi All,

I am running with a Domain project which migrates AD Objects from one Dom A (Legacy) to Dom B (New).

I am at the stage where I need to map drives on the on New identical to Legacy. However, the problem I have is that I have inherited a structure that is nothing like the Legacy structure.

On Legacy the Drive Mappings are pointing to specific OU's in individual countries. For example France -> Users, UK -> Users, etc. On the New domain there is only one OU for ALL users in Europe.

Can anyone think of a way I could get around this without restructuring the New Domain. I doubt even that I will be allowed to restructure our part of AD as its controlled by another country, and we are unable to do anything changes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Based on my understanding, there are only one OU that containing all the users. But you want to deploy different map drives to users in individual countries, right?
If i misunderstand you, feel free to let me know.

Since the map drive policy have the Item-Level targeting setting:
    91829-4285.jpg
You can target the objects with groups or sites, ect.
    91815-4286.jpg

In this way, we can deploy different map drive GPOs to different users even there are in the same OU.
    Best Regards,
