Problems with bluetooth connection

Hello everyone, I recently upgraded my computer with it to a new motherboard that came with built-in Bluetooth.
I installed windows 10 and downloaded the drivers for my motherboard from gigabyte's website (B650 AORUS ELITE AX rev 1.2).
connected my ps4 controller successfully but noticed that my Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard does not connect at all showing in red "Try connecting your device again."

I tried reinstalling the drivers and it did not help, until I had the idea to try my old USB Bluetooth adapter that I used before upgrading, after disabling my built-in Bluetooth through device manager I was able to connect it and it asked me to put a pin in the keyboard.
I thought to myself maybe the problem is the built-in Bluetooth device doesn't have the pin functionality.
I tried doing a clean install of Windows 11 because I had the thought of maybe the windows 10 drivers are not tested as much because it is a new motherboard.
Didn't fix the problem.

as of now I have windows 11 and only able to connect the keyboard with the USB adapter.

My ps4 connects normally to my motherboard's Bluetooth maybe because it does not ask for pin.

Any ideas on what to do?

    Hello Orma,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

Were you able to use the keyboard using the usb adapter after entering the pin?

If the keyboard itself is being on firmware updates this issue can popup.

If you are able to use the keyboard using the usb adapter after entering the pin connect it and then open Microsoft mouse and keyboard center and check for a firmware update for the keyboard.

Hey, I am able to connect the keyboard through the usb adapter, but only when disabling the built-in one.

I downloaded the app, not sure how to update the firmware' how can you do it?
I was able by choosing Support -> Device Information to get current firmware number: 01 38

The keyboard and mouse center automatically updates the firmware as long as the app is opened and the compatible keybard is connected.

Have you tried to remove the keyboard from device manager directly and then repair it?

Unplug the bluetooth adapter and any other bluetooth connected devices before doing so and restart your computer.

Try using default windows drivers for bluetooth instead of manufacturer ones.

Make sure your device has internet connectivity

right click on start button and click on device manager.

    click on bluetooth

then right click on your bluetooth adapter driver

    click on uninstall device

reboot your device and let the driver install again by opening device manager then right clicking on the device of which the driver was removed.

    Click on update driver.

Let the search complete and if it says the best driver is already installed choose the option to look for the driver in windows update.

When the windows update page opens click on check for updates and let the driver install from there.

Check if after this the default bluetooth can be used for the keyboard.
