Windows security stuck on black screen after opening.

Hello. I am having issues trying to open Windows security. It gets stuck on a black screen and I can't access the settings. I have tried the reset and repair options and that was no use. I even checked for updates and nothing. I even tried restarting my laptop and that didn't work either. I also ran the sfc /scannow command and once again, nothing. I have to note I also have webroot secure anywhere as antivirus. Can someone help?

(The following fix is for Windows 11 systems.)

    Direct download links

    (or)

    [Source: Microsoft Update Catalog]

    Instructions:

    • Save the executable to the desktop.
    • Right-click on the file "SecurityHealthSetup_xxxxx.exe" and choose "Run as administrator".

(The above setup file automatically creates the missing SecurityHealth platform folder.

    Hi, SethToth

    Welcome to the MicroSoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that Windows Security isn't opening properly. This is not a system corruption, but rather **a known issue** with some recent flaws in Windows Defender's functionality. If you want to get functionality back on track as quickly as possible, you can submit your ideas and suggestions through the [Feedback Hub](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/send-feedback-to-microsoft-with-the-feedback-hub-app-f59187f8-8739-22d6-ba93-f66612949332 "support.microsoft.com"), and the development team will regularly review submissions for ideas or fixes. Please share the feedback link here after you submit, as it will allow others on the forum to vote on your submission, including me. More votes will lead to more visibility and higher priority for the development team.

    Best regards
