Updated Intel Management Engine Firmware v 16.1.30.2330 Dated 25.01.2024 in Gigabyte DS3H AX Rev1.2 MB With Intel i5 13500 on Windows_11_23H2_22631.3085Preview

Question

I have an Assembled Desktop with a Gigabyte DS3H AX Rev1.2 Motherboard with Bios firmware version F.16 with Intel i5 13500 CPUID B06F2 with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6 VRAM.

On 25th January 2024, I updated Intel Management Engine Firmware v16.1.30.2330.

Also, I updated the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver  v2336.5.2.0 WHQL on Windows 11 Professional 64bit 23H2 build no 22631.3085 Preview.

I have taken a high risk of updating the latest firmware because Intel identified the vulnerabilities in the management engine.

I am not recommending users update without consulting the desktop manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer support team.

Ask your system manufacturers for the released new ME firmware.

Different types of firmware are available and depend upon the intel processor generation and the respective SKUs only.

This Intel Management Engine Firmware flashed to the intel processors and will be lifelong. Future firmware updates only can be installed if existing firmware is not corrupted or not modified.

Downgrading firmware is not available, so I won't recommend it.

Flashing Incorrect firmware will damage the processors. Even if it won't boot or the motherboard won't power on or it might cause power circuit failures.

Be careful before updating the new firmware, please note I and the below site users and admin are not responsible for damage caused due to updating.

I downloaded Intel Management Engine Firmware from the below website

Intel Management Engine (ME) Firmware Version 16.1.30.2330 (S&H) 1.5Mo (station-drivers.com)

Note::

Desktop users must and should take precautions before updating the correct firmware to the respective Intel processor model

Before downloading and installing on your desktop, Check with your computer manufacturer's support website.

I am not responsible for the inconvenience caused due to unbootable or BSOD errors or any problems. 

And I took the risk and updated myself.

Before updating the Intel ME firmware 16.1.30.2330, the Default firmware on the processor is 16.1.30.2307.

After updating the Intel ME firmware to 16.1.30.2330, the Default firmware changed to 16.1.30.2330.
