How to check if my laptop supports Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP)?

Hi, I'm using HP EliteBook 840 G6 Notebook PC (Product Number: 7YF14UP) which has a 14" touchscreen and running on Windows 10 Enterprise Version 1809.  How can I check e.g. in the Settings or Control Panel whether Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) is supported?  I plan to purchase a third party stylus pen that uses MPP to work with this laptop.  I have checked with HP and they said to contact Microsoft for confirmation.  Thank you.

    Greetings,

I appreciate your swift response, only your device manufacturer can confirm this feature if your device is fully capable to pen touch, I have those settings as well in my pc but it doesn't have the capability to use it. This may depends on the make and model of your pc.

I highly suggest to get in touch with them first before buying the product.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe

    With Warm Regards,

    Rhaine C.

    Greetings,

My name is Rhaine, I'm Independent Community Volunteer. I’m so glad assisting you today

I am also using digital pen. Let us work together to sort this out.

You need to get in touch with your device manufacturer, they are going to check the make and model of your device if its capable of pen protocol , they should be the one to confirm it.

You can try to check in the control panel of your device.

To check if its capable, open the Control Panel. On the Hardware and Sound screen, look under the Pen and Touch category. If you see an item titled Change Tablet Pen Settings, your laptop can use a digital pen.

I hope the information above helps.Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    With Warm Regards,

    Rhaine C.

Thank you Rhaine.  I saw only the item titled "Change touch input settings" under the "Pen and Touch" category.  This led me to believe that it doesn't support the pen.  However, there's another category "Tablet PC Settings" with an item titled "Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input" as shown in the attached image.  This is the part that I'm confused about.  If you have further insights on this, that will be helpful.  Otherwise, I will have to revert again to the laptop manufacturer.
