[Windows update installing the new Edge browser] Update KB4559309 Makes Computer Unbearably Slow

Last night I updated my windows 10 pro using KB:4559309. Since then my computer performance has absolutely tanked. my startup time is probably triple, loading any window has a few second delay.

I attempted to uninstall the update however windows tells me that it is required and cannot be removed.

This update has essentially rendered my brand new computer useless.

Please help!

    Hey there, everyone

I have spoken to Missy Quarry, from the Edge team, and they are investigating this problem. However, they really need more details submitted though the Feedback Hub on Windows 10.

To submit feedback, please go to start > Feedback Hub.

You will need to click onto report a problem. Then enter your feedback/problem you are having with Microsoft Edge. On the categories you will need to make sure you have the following drop down options selected in the image underneath:

The more detail you can submit, the better it will be for the Edge team to find out what is causing this issue. So the detail box that has the test comment, should detail everything you are experiencing.

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,

This update is malicious and the talk that it is just the Edge browser that was installed is certainly a lie.

If it was just some browser it would not be required.

After the update that was automatically installed without my consent, I could almost not get back because it was forcing me to enter some Windows live account id and password.

There is obviously lots of other stuff broken now. I can't work any more as my svn and TortoiseSVN doesn't work any more. Some major things are broken.

And this comes at the heels of another malicious update that ended up wiping out all my files in my profile, Documents and Desktop.

I think it should be possible to do a class action lawsuit against Microsoft, anyone here impacted by this bug and interested in joining please contact me. This is getting ridiculous. I don't want forced updates that do nothing for me other than increase surveillance and break my work. I have lost months of work due to these Windows mess-ups.

Also I hate it when people come up with fake solutions like this first guy talking about updating some chipset driver and making it sound as if everything was fine. Nothing is fine. Nothing is resolvels.

I checked my updates list and it said that this update failed to install. From all the issues reported that it has caused, I feel that I've dodged a bullet. Anyone else as lucky?

I came from a fresh update of my 2004 and I have the same problem, but this KB is NOT present on my PC.  This is because now it's integrated into 2004, so I've no single hope to remove it.

My development pc is unusalbe, terribly slow
