My Windows 10 license is expiring on an OEM machine

I was under the impression that Windows 10 licenses on OEM machines were supported indefinitely. Is this an error or will my license and with it my OS expire? 

Is there anything I can do to prevent it from expiring other than purchasing a new key?

The machine in question is a Lenovo laptop.

    I have the same issue, followed your instructions and this is what it displays:

    Product Key Channel: Volume:GVLK

    none og the sequence are 5 character set 

    That means you've volume license installed, and it is not a valid license to be used by end users (correct me, if your system is part of organization). 

    In this case, you need to buy genuine license for your Windows 10.

    AFAIK, OEM licenses don't expire. You need to re-confirm, if you've OEM license.

    1. Open administrative Command Prompt.
    2. Type slmgr /dlv and press Enter key.
    3. Note the Product Key Channel section Windows Script Host box.

    If it mentions OEM <method>, then only you’ve OEM license installed.

    I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor.

    No OEM keys do not expire for the lifetime of the device.

    To better diagnose the issue,

    1. Right-click Start button and Choose Windows Powershell(admin) and type in the following command:

    slmgr.vbs /dlv

    You will get a window, take a screenshot and send the same in the next reply.

    1. Run the activation troubleshooter and send us the output.
