Windows 10 Services.msc

Question

Hello,

I've been running into a problem where my services keep getting set to disabled. 

I go into services.msc - properties - startup type - automatic 

After I set them to automatic they will stay on and running until I have to restart my computer. 

As soon as a shutdown my laptop or restart the computer all these services become disabled again. 

The problem will not happen if I leave my computer on sleep mode though. Only if I shut it down or restart it. 

The problem only happens with these services. It affects the same services every time without fail. 

I thought about them getting disabled because of a virus protection, but I only use windows defender. 

I thought that there may be a problem with the dependencies, but also they seem to be running fine.

Interesting. Put your PC in a clean boot. Enable the services. Restart your PC. Do they still revert to disabled?

I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, If the issue persists, perform Repair Upgrade, this will re-install the Windows without affecting your files and apps, it will repair and replace any corrupted system files.

Step 1: Download Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.

Step 2: Run MediaCreationTool.exe.

Step 3: Choose "Upgrade this PC now".

Step 4: Select "Keep personal files and apps".

Step 5: Let it install

I ran the sfc /scannow and it didn't find anything

I ran the DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and didn't run into any trouble. 

Ran the Malwarebytes scanner and nothing was found

did a clean restart and all the check boxes were already set to enable. 

The problem still persists. It seems very strange.

I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.

Here's the steps you can try.

-Click start, type CMD and run as administrator

-Copy and paste each of the command below and hit enter.

sfc /scannow

Wait until it finishes done scanning your computer and proceed with the next command.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Once you are done, scan you computer with the free version of Malwarebytes scanner to check if there are malwares running in your computer that is preventing to those services to run.

Once downloaded, run the app and perform a scan.

Once the scan is done , perform a cleanboot , and enable those service on startup.

1. Open the run box by pressing the Windows Key + R and type msconfig
2. System Configuration Utility box will open and by default you are on general tab.
3. On the General tab, click the selective startup and make sure that load system service and load startup items both have checked mark.
4. Click on services tab
5. Put a check mark on Enable All

6.Click Apply the hit Ok

7. Restart your computer and check.
