Why does Apps & features say it's taking up more storage than all my apps combined?

I have about 4gb of apps downloaded. When I go to storage settings it shows that apps & features takes up 13.9gb of storage when the sum of my apps only takes up about 4gb. While adding up how much storage my apps use manually, I noticed that there are some apps that don't have any way of telling how much storage they take up. I have already ran disk cleaner multiple times and that doesnt seem to help either.

    Hi Trevor.

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this.

The Storage page in the Settings App has a known bug, where it does not correctly report the space used on your hard drive by the various categories.

Click the link below to download a small free utility called Treesize. Using that tool, you will instantly see where this space is being used.

To run TreeSize, right click its icon and choose Run as Administrator.

Please provide a screenshot of your C drive in that TreeSize utility, so I can see your hard drive and work out where that space is being used and if there is an underlying problem.

Go File Explorer, C:, right click on it and right click on it, click on Properties.  Does this show what you want?
