We couldn’t set your default save location.

The operation did not complete successfully. Try again in a bit.

The error code is 0x80070005, in case you need it.

Tried:

  • Renaming WindowsApps folder
  • Taking full control over the WindowsApps folder
  • Restarted into safe mode, deleted the windows apps folder in my d drive, restarted back into normal windows. Still doesn't work

Just got windows installed too.. lol

ooopss! Im really really sorry I misread that :(

Now let us try to Change Permission of the Package Folder

First of all, open File Explorer and click the View tab on top. Choose the checkbox namely Hidden items.

Navigate to the below-given location –

    C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local

Once into the Local folder, locate and right-click the folder Packages.

    Select Properties.

Switch to the Security tab and click on the Advanced button.

On the following window, ensure that all the users listed has full control. If full access is not given to all the users, click Add.

    Click Select a Principal.

In the Enter the object name to select box, insert the username you wish to add.

After providing the details, click on Check Names followed by on OK.

Then checkmark the box that says Full Permission. Click OK.

    Select Apply and OK.

Let me know the results and I hope it helps :)

ohh, okay. I see that you have tried most of the methods I could suggest you. I tried reading same problems online and found this, hopefully you could give it a try too.

    check WpSystem/S-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX(Random Numbers)/AppData/Local.

Check the folders that contain the games you have tried to download before

Then, put the folders in the recycling bin then check if you could change the save location.

I hope it helps! Let me know the results.
