Hello! I've recently put together a computer and for the past 2-3 days this error has been popping up on my screen. I've read it has something to do with an installer but quite frankly, I'm not trying to install anything purposedly yet it keeps reapearring as if something is trying to install itself. It randomly pops up on my screen while doing anything else, if I close it, it'll just appear again later on. Any help would be appreciated!

Good day! I'm Raniel, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

Kindly uninstall all Microsoft Visual C++ that is currently installed on your machine. You may download the program install uninstall troubleshooter: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-p...

Once done, reboot your machine, and re-download the latest supported Visual C++ 2019 file: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/the-l...

Note: Temporarily disable your firewall/antivirus, then install it.

Once done, reboot your machine, then check again.

Double-check if your machine doesn't have any pending security patches as well: Kindly go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Hello! Before I uninstall them and proceed, which one of these options would be the one I need to downlad afterwards?

    Hi JesuelRosado,

Kindly download and install the x86 or vc_redist.x86.exe file and check if you'll encounter the same issue.

Hoping for your feedback. Thank you.

I was able to uninstall all of the Microsoft Visual C++ and freshly installed the latest one. So far, the popup hasn't showed up but if anything I'll make sure to post an update on here!

Just in case, I'l attach an image of the versions that currently appear on my system.
