Outllook Autocomplete List Showing Up Towards Top of the screen

I'm using outlook 2019 desktop version. When I write a new email and start typing a contact the autocomplete contact list window appears ABOVE the field "To:" and I can't read all of the addresses (the window is not inside the screen).

How can I fix this? I need the list to appear below the field "To:".

Thank you,

Hi @Nicola Soccal ,

Welcome to our forum.

What's the specific version of your Outlook client(File>Office account>About Outlook)? According to my test on my Outlook 2019(Version 2104 Build 13929.20296), the autocomplete list could work normally like below, which seems to I couldn't reproduce your issue:

For your issue itself, did all users in your organization have same issue ? And have you performed any specific operations before it(such as install any update or others)?

Based on my research, I found a similar thread before, which mentioned reverting to an previous version could work normally for them, so in order to avoid the any errors in your last update, it's recommended to follow the suggestions to revert your Office version and re-update your Office to check if it could be helpful to you.

If your issue has any update, please feel free to post back.

I have 2016 Pro. I had this frustrating problem for the last month, but it corrected itself overnight two days ago. The fill list now drops downward and shows a reasonable selection. The font has been changed.

Same issue Office 2016 professional Client. Cannot delete autocomplete individually with the x and the names appear above which is not a workable workflow. This is absurd that people have to roll back the upgrade.

Microsoft you need to fix this for your users.

I have the 2016 Professional. I tried the "Change/Repair" suggestions. No effect - still bad.

I have the answer to this problem.

Firstly, this is a known bug from MS from the 20296 version. (note the latest update released on 11 May 2021 has nothing to do with this).

The fix, is to roll back your office version (I have done this myself and it works). The problem is the way to roll back office is a bit tedious, and you need to follow the instructions strickly. But this MS link shows you what to do.

Thanks to microsoft for wasting about 3 hours of my time with their bugs.
