Outlook (Mac & PC) Calendar bug concerning birthdays

Guys this is an old (maybe 6-7 year) bug that really needs addressing in Outlook. I've experienced this on the PC and on the Mac.

The issue concerns birthdays. If a contact is created in Outlook (Offie 365) such as:

It all looks good, but when that birthday is read back by any other app interfacing with Offie 365 (e.g. Apple Contacts), it shows a day late:

And in the Apple calendar:

This means that for any contact who has a birthday Outlook / Office 365 can't be relied upon for entering the birthday date and holding it accurately. The only solution I have on the Apple Mac is to move contacts with birthdays into iCloud as they are read back properly from there.

And before anybody mentions time zones as a cause of this issue that is not the issue here, the time zones are set correctly. :)

I'd love to get to the bottom of this and get it fixed, but it has been so long I've nigh on given up!

I had the same problem for years. I'm on Mac but use PC as well.

Thanks be to the gods that I'm not the only one! Yep I've had the issue for years and years too but Microsoft I think see it as affecting so few a number of users that it seems to get ignored.

The only solution for me (on the Mac) was: Where possible move all contacts with birthdays or anniversaries into iCloud as that does not have the problem with sending back the correct data to calendar apps.

I never found a working solution for the PC.

It definitely seems to be a problem with Exchange / Office 365.

I've investigated time zone etc settings and all are correct.

Nope it's a PC issue as well. I can set the birthday in a Contact within Outlook on the PC and when the birthday is added into the Outlook calendar (when it is read back from Office 365) it is again 24 hours out.

It could be something within Office 365 but if it is nobody seems to know what to do to resolve it. I was involved in testing Office 365 prior to it being launched and the problem was there even then in Outlook.

As an observation appears to be a Mac issue, I have no problems using the same exchange mail account on multiple MS devices, including Android
