AdobeCollabSync.exe Start Booting Problem

From a long time ago, I used to work with Adobe DC Products, and there was always a process called "AdobeCollabSync.exe".

The program didn't do much a thing until suddently my pc started to stress more in booting up Windows, and then I started to worry, so what i did, is to delete, de program Adobe Acrobat DC, and the sign was still there, and my pc started to boot slow as before.

So then i started to see if there's a kind of virus, I runned my McAffe antivirus, and still nothing..., no virus showing in the virus box, but now my pc was starting a little bit faster, but again... the process "AdobeCollabSync.exe" was still runing on my pc, at the start up of windows.

So then I started looking for some options in internet, which guided me to this forum: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/adobecollabsync-is-slowing-my-pc/m-p/10364457

The only option it apeared to me is to "disable" the program. Now that i did that, there's suddenly time to time when I boot up my pc, two windows of a unknown program, (and my unknown it means, it has no name, just the generic symbol of windows, and looks like a cmd command propmt) that just blinks in front of my face and then they dissapear. But curiously, the symbol of "AdobeCollabSync.exe" has changed, and now is like the same symbol of the beginning of the program that starts up when the pc boots up.

Now i know that can't be good, so I decided to make a question here to see, which are my options besides deleting everything and start over again. I know this is something that Adobe should have fixed but as you can see in that forum Adobe doesn't give an actual solutions to those costumers.

What do i do?

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues with Adobe services running on startup

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if the issue persists:

    • Open File Explore (Windows + E)
    • Navigate to the location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\FullTrustNotifier.exe and delete the FullTrustNotifier file
    • Navigate to the location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\AdobeCollabSync.exe and delete the AdobeCollabSync file
    • Restart the PC for changes to apply effect

If the issue persists, please refer to the steps mentioned below:

Try to uninstall the application using the cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs.

Reboot the machine and re-install the application from here Download and install Acrobat DC subscription

Let us know how it goes.
