Why do I have to do a network reset EVERY TIME I start my computer?

Updated to windows 11 a couple weeks ago and every single time I start my computer, I have to do the network reset process to connect to the internet. I never had a single issue with internet before the update. No, it is not my router.

I am getting really frustrated as I am a student and use my computer all the time. It's absurd I have to spend 30 minutes resetting and rebooting my computer.

Turns out mine was that I had a conflict between ipv4 and ipv6. Disabled the latter and all is well.

I can only tell you what worked for me and like you I had to search for help. When my notebook started having a problem it's when I updated my home computers to Windows 11 and only 1 had the connection issue. You will need access to internet from a different computer because you will be reinstalling your Network Adapter. I downloaded my driver and then bluetoothed it to the notebook with the issue.

First, find the name of your Network Adapter. On your affected computer go to Settings, System, About, Device Manager, Network Adapters. In this section look for your Wireless LAN and note the full description. For example mine is Related 8723DU.

Now you may go to a search engine like Bing and type the full description and it will provide a driver download location. Pick one that makes sense, like the adapter's website. I would not choose the computer's brand because it will not necessarily provide the most recent driver nor update requirements.

Once you have your driver move it to the computer that needs it. Go back to the Device Manager Network Adapter and right-click on the adapter, select Update Driver, choose either option to search or browse for drivers. I would choose Browse My Computer for drivers as you have it. But at this time you could allow it to Search Automatically For Drivers. The latter is ok because it will search Microsoft's Drivers.

Restart your computer to finish the driver update.

But we all know windows likes to screw up network settings that will make it where it will not even connect to the router.

How do we all know that?
