Sage 50 Linked Server causing SQL to crash

Hi,

I have created a linked server to a Sage ODBC connection, and whilst it does start to read in data from Sage, it crashes the whole of SQL Server after about 1,000 records.I have followed the recommendations MSDASQL enabling LevelZeroOnly and disabling AllowInProcess, but SQL server still crashes when querying the Sage 5o data.

Has anyone seen this issue before, and found a way to overcome this?

Many thanks,

Trevor

    Hello Trevor,

AFAIK is Sage a british software company selling several very different ERP systems; I e.g. know Sage Office Line, which host the database on SQL Server.
But isn't Sage 50 a software utilizing a proprietary database and so proprietary data provider, right?
