Hi there, I am Pau, an Independent Advisor. I get how hard it is when Roblox indicates your version is outdated but then says there’s no update to download. Let's sort that out so you can get back to your games easily.

    Here are some suggestions:

Open the Control Panel on your computer > Choose Programs and Features > Locate Roblox in the list > Press Uninstall to delete it entirely.

Once you've uninstalled, visit the official Roblox website at https://www.roblox.com Press Play or Download Roblox > Install the latest version by following the prompts provided.

After installation, restart your device to ensure all changes are applied.

Next, open Roblox and attempt to launch your game once more.

To update Roblox installed from the Microsoft Store, open the Microsoft Store app, go to Library, locate Roblox, and click Update if there is an option available. If it still shows no updates, remove Roblox from the Start menu and install it again from the Store.

If Roblox’s update system is stuck, reinstalling it can fix any corrupted files that are causing the problem.

If the error persists, verify your internet connection and ensure that your device’s date and time are set correctly, since wrong settings can disrupt updates.

Roblox is a third-party game platform, so this advice is the best way to resolve update errors on your device. If you want to find more troubleshooting tips, you can visit Roblox’s official help page here: https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/20...

I hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Have a nice day!

    Thank you,

    Pau

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

If your Roblox fails to update and prompts “Error Code: 280” (even though checking for updates shows “No updates”), it may be due to a caching issue, a corrupt installation, or permissions restrictions.

You can refer to the following methods to see if they can solve your problem

Force Roblox to update (via official method)

Method 1: Reinstallation via Roblox Client

       1. Uninstall the current Roblox client:

Press Win + R and type appwiz.cpl to open Programs and Features.

Find Roblox and right-click to uninstall.

You can also delete the remaining files manually (go to C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Local\Roblox and delete the entire folder).

       2. Reinstall Roblox:

Visit the Roblox website and log in.

Go to any game page and click on the green “Play” button, it will automatically download the latest version of the installer.

    Method 2: Clear Roblox Cache

Close all Roblox-related processes (including browsers and clients).

    Delete temporary files:

Press Win + R and type %temp% to delete Roblox related folders.

Go to C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Roblox and delete the Versions folder (if any).

          Restart Roblox.

Thank you for your patience and reading.

    Best regards.
