Windows 11 version 24H2 update fails with error message regarding WD NVMe disk

Hello!

For a couple weeks now, my windows 11 computer starts to update & fails (around the 14% mark). It returns the following error message each time.

There is a previous threadregarding the same issue. Microsoft was aware back in October of last year.

I'm now having the same problem. Is there any recommendation on how to get it fixed?

    Your Windows 11 24H2 update failing at 14% with an error related to your WD NVMe SSD is a known issue. Microsoft previously acknowledged this problem, and users have reported that updating the SSD firmware resolves it.

    Western Digital released a firmware fix for affected SSDs, including the WD_BLACK SN770, which addresses BSODs and update failures. To apply the fix, download the SanDisk Dashboard from Western Digital’s website, check for available firmware updates, and install the latest version. After updating, restart your computer and attempt the Windows update again.

    **UPDATE**

    After updating my SSD firmware & restarting my computer, I was finally able to update my computer to 24H2.

    For anyone else having the same issues, this is what I did:

    • This video was very helpful. !!! WINDOWS UPDATE 24H2 !!! (Western Digital 770 Causing BSODs)
    • I went to Western Digital's website & downloaded the SandDisk dashboard for my SSD. Note: I have the WD_BLACK SN770 version. Check your SSD version to make sure to download the most compatible software.
    • I then ran the Window's troubleshooter to diagnose update issues.
    • After, I restarted my computer.
    • Update installed perfectly fine.
