I cannot download the 2025-04 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11 and 2025-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5055523)

Question

The .NET framework fails under error code 0x800705b9 and the 25-4 update never finishes. I have tried the windows update troubleshooter and the repair install ISO aswell.

This one got me to downloading the preview on the cumulative update of .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 and downloading 4% of the 24H2. Then the .NET update starts installing, gets stuck at 0% and the download of 24H2 stays frozen at 4%.

Its not updating to my windows is there anyway to help me figure out.

I've already tried that and I didn't work. Something's broken with this update.

This is a known issue, check out this link, hope it helps. Also, if you have other failed updates, check around (copy paste in website searchbar) the code of the update (in this case its "kb5054979") and find the one your looking for. For this solution you will need the windows update "side load updater"
