Hi there,
This did not work.
I have now tried everything available on the media and nothing has worked.
I am now getting frustrated.

The newest updates,
2025-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5063060, error code 0x80071a91),
and
2025-04 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 (KB5056579, error code 0x80071a91)
keep failing to install. I've been having this issue even before updating my Windows from 10 to 11, which was a few months ago. I tried the solutions provided in this link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/update-failing-to-install-on-win-11-22h2-kb5063060/6c799d96-cfce-4a04-bf7a-d9e7430eb62b, but unfortunately nothing worked.
Please look into this issue, as I think these updates are also affecting my microphone input - it just records static noise instead of my actual voice when using my pc microphone.

Hi John,
I've had the same problem with KB5063060, for the past 3-days. Thus far, Windows Auto Updates failed 4-times and when I used the direct download link for KB5063060 to do a manual download and install that also failed. Strangely enough KB054979 installed without a problem.
KB5054979 Windows Auto Update
KB5063060 Windows Manual Install
KB5063060 Windows Auto Update
Thank you!!

You don't have any real answers, your reply is full of extra verbaige, you are just suggesting try this and try that.
My take away is that this update is to be avoided and no one has any answers. Thanks to everyone who did the things suggested, so I can avoid wasting my time on doing them. Though, I have to see some of these suggestions were just a try this or try that.
Unacceptable support from Microsoft here.. useless
