Hi Ramesh I made sure to not disable microsoft services. Here's the requested file: https://gofile.io/d/sjxOMs

    Hi,

    1. Please uninstall Kaspersky. The setup was unable to migrate a Kaspersky registry key. Third-party AVs can cause migration errors during the setup.

You may use this tool in addition.

    1. If you've reverted from clean boot, please clean boot again. Your systray will be empty; it's not an issue. No startup apps and 3rd party services will load. You can revert from clean boot mode after upgrading to 24H2.
    2. Enable Memory Integrity. To enable memory integrity in Windows, go to Windows Security > Device security > Core isolation details > Memory integrity. If it shows any incompatible drivers, post the screenshot here.
    3. Rerun the setup and post fresh logs.

I'm not in Tech Support, but this is what worked for me.

I found it in Microsoft's instructions for resolving the problem.

It's deleting the fonts from the bootup so there's more room for the update.

Locate the system Command Prompt and Run As Administrator.

(I get there using the Search bar at the bottom and typing Command.

Then I right-click where it says Command Prompt on the left, or click where it says Run As Administrator in the options on the right.)

In the Command Prompt, type each of the below lines, one at a time, followed by the enter key.

     mountvol Y: /s

    cd /d Y:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\Fonts

    del *.ttf

After that, I rebooted and tried Windows Update again. It worked.

I've not noticed any changes to my use of fonts anywhere.

Now I'm on 24H2 dated April 5, 2025 and all caught up.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion, but sadly no luck. There was already around 300 MB free space on the boot drive, I deleted the extra 30-ish MB of fonts and same thing again, the install gets to around 90% then bluescreen INVALID_DATA_ACCESS_TRAP then reboot Undoing changes done to your computer then another reboot and I'm back on 23H2.

1 laptop and 3 virtual machines updated without issues, but of course my main gaming pc doesn't.

Please clean boot and try again.

A clean boot is the process of starting Windows without loading third-party apps and services. Please see this Microsoft article for more information.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support:

(Step 3 in the above link is very important. You need to first enable "Hide all Microsoft Services" before clicking "Disable all".)
