How can i disable windows MPO in 2025 ? (24h2 windows 11 version)

windows MPO often freeze my pc while gaming (not on all games but still on many). disabling it via regedit fixed it in the past. but now the freeze came back. i noticed that i cannot disable MPO via regedit anymore.

when the pc freeze all i can do is a hard reboot.
i suspect a driver crash but the issue hasn't been resolved after all those years. (amd 6800xt)
so i need to be able to disable MPO completely like before.

    i asked how to disable MPO, not how to reinstall gpu driver.

    i come from the techpowerup forum so i know of that tool. it is not available yet and seems to be a paid solution, at least for now.

    my aim is to disable MPO. perhaps i should try to find a driver where MPO cannot work instead?
    i am already using a specific old driver from 2022. so using an "old" driver still create issues with MPO.
    i guess i should check newer ones instead then.

    still, i would like to know how to disable MPO.

    The registry key still works for me on Win11 24H2, and solve several issues, like not or just partial refeshing content of windows / discord with scrolling and freezes when alt+tab.

    Edit: There seems an alternative Workaround for the Issue and Microsoft needs to acknowledge it:

    Impacts all GPU vendors (AMD/Intel/Nvidia)

    Chromium Based Applications such as Discord may exhibit partial freezing, rendering issues ... flip presentation model fluctuates between Composed: Flip and Hardware Composed: Independent Flip particularly after ALT-TAB.

    the issue happened again.
    i did disable freesync on my monitors to try and mitigate the issue. but it's still there.

    i need MPO disabled.

    I’m here to help you in resolving your issue

    Re-installing the Graphics Drivers using below steps :

    1: Press win + R, type “devmgmt.msc”, click OK

    2: In device manager window, Expand Display adapters section

    3: Select your Graphic drivers and right-click on them

    4: Click on Uninstall device and Restart computer. It will re-install drivers automatically when you restart your computer
