Win10 22H2 - USB Printer POST /ipp/print HTTP/1.1

This seems like a common problem but NONE of the solutions provided have worked for us in our environment

Everytime the printer is powered on, wakes from sleep, or the USB cable is plugged in while both the PC and Printer are on or awake, it prints 3 pages and a Guest job sits in queue for ~10 minutes. Delaying whatever job was sent to printer

Win10 22H2

HP M604/M607/M608 connected via USB

Uninstalling KB5051974 did not work

Applying the Known Issue Rollback GPO did not work

Changing and updating printer drivers did not work

I've done it all. Rolling back any updates applied this year has had no effect. Anything you can find on here in Answers I've tried

HP has done all the troubleshooting with me but this is clearly a Microsoft Update / Spool problem

What can I do???

PLEASE HELP!!!!

UPDATE: This (USB Printing) issue was resolved by Windows updates released March 25, 2025 (KB5053657), and later.

It's happening on the Xerox VersaLink B415 models as well.

One oddity I noticed with this issue is that when end users print, the job processes in the print queue but immediately disappears without reaching the printer.

On a side note, I also believe the update broke the Scan Drivers (TWAIN/WIA) for the said model. Maybe for all.

The scan driver is not working on Adobe DC Pro and Foxit PDF Editor

Apologies for any inconvenience you are experiencing. I am happy to help you today.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/relea...

    From the page:

Important: You will need to install and configure the Group Policy for your version of Windows to resolve this issue. You will also need to restart your device(s) to apply the group policy setting. Note that the Group Policy will temporarily disable the change causing the printing issue.

Did you correctly download the group policy template as well?

I look forward to your response and am eager to collaborate until we find a solution.

    Hello All,

Just a note for anyone still struggling with this issue:

I recently encountered this on multiple Toshiba printers. These network printers were not USB connected, however USB was enabled and the printer was set to automatically switch connection (device has LAN, wifi and USB) disabling this Auto switching appears to have resolved this issue on these printers.

    Cheers!

I'm also facing the same issue for the Canon printer. Canon support told me that is the KB5051974 update cause the issue. Try to remove the KB5051974 but after windows update and issue come back again with no ending.

Is that Microsoft will come out a new KB and solving the issue?

My user's workstation working under MS 365.
