Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

To help narrow things down, may I know what troubleshooting steps have you already taken? That way, we don’t go over the same things again.

Also, do you have any third-party antivirus software installed?

    > Open the Windows Security app.

    > Click the "Settings" (gear icon) in the lower left.

    > Under Security Providers, click "Manage Providers".

    > Verify if Microsoft Defender Antivirus is the active antivirus and Windows Firewall is the firewall.

    > If not, please uninstall the third-party antivirus, restart your PC, and check again at Settings > Windows Update.

If issue persists, please provide me the troubleshooting steps you've already tried.

Click "Reply" below to let me know.

    Regards,

    John J.D.

    According to this Microsoft web-page:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/march-27-2025-kb5053656-os-build-26100-3624-preview-4c35f1c4-1ae6-41ef-a317-3d8ee2e73975

this is only an optional "preview" update.

The actual update will be released on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, after 10 AM Pacific.

Can you wait until then to run Windows Update, to download the actual update?

Until that date in April, Windows Update will install any other update(s) that are available, i.e., just skipping this update.

    So, please be patient.
