I can't change my "Default system UI language" thoroughlly

As you can see. I've tried everything I can get from Internet. Such as system Language&region setting (As you can see, I've already delete languages except English, but it still shows when I click the check box), PowerShell (I've already delete other languages by using "Set-WinUserLanguageList $LangList -Force"), and Regidit (Follow instruction of https://www.nextofwindows.com/remove-display-language-windows-11). Anyway, everthing I can tried. But when I typed "DISM /online /get-intl" in CMD, it still shows "Default system UI language : zh-CN". I really have no idea what I can do to fix it.

Hi Werson,

Please see if changing the default OS language in the registry helps.

First, please backup the registry using AceLogix RegBak.

Create a System Restore Point.

Open Regedit.exe.

Change the "Default" value to 0409 in this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\Language

(Note: 0409 is the Locale ID for English United States.)

Restart Windows.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I've already tried to change the default registry value to "0409" and "en-US", but it didn't work, and after a reboot it changed back to "0809".

I ended up using the "zh-CN" installer package to update my computer from 22H2 to 24H2 to keep my applications and files.

Hi Werson,

After changing the registry edit, before rebooting, you may try an in-place upgrade using the en-US ISO.

However, before doing so, please take an image-based backup of the current configuration and store it in another drive or partition.
