Windows Update says "Get the newer version of Windows to stay up to date. Your version of Windows has reached the end of service". How to update this, if this statement is true?

System Information says

Edition: Windows 11 Pro;

Version: 22H2

What do i need to do if this is true to update it? Doesn't look like the update button is even working.

All suggestions appreciated....

    Hi, My name is Estrella, and I'm a Microsoft user like you. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I'll be more than happy to help.

    Windows 11 version 22H2 end of service: October 8, 2024. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/pro...

    You can try updating your Windows to the latest version using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2171764

    Let me know the result. Thank you!

    I have 100% the same problem, I only bought this a month or less ago!
    please advice?

    The Windows 11 Installation Assistant was completely useless to me; it did an installation and then my version was still 22H2.

    What ultimately fixed things was this random update package that Windows Update somehow couldn't find but is needed for Windows update to "see" and attempt to install the 23H2 update.

    Search for "Windows Update KB5027397". Microsoft doesn't provide it because it's supposed to be downloaded automatically; obviously it's failing to do that. I found the direct download on this page. I used the printed url version rather than the "Download" button that requires you have an account.

    Once I installed that update and restarted my computer, Windows update immediately started downloading the 23H2 update. Hope this helps!
